Schweisskraft Craft Stick 161P ARC Welder
This 200A ARC welder from Schweisskraft has built-in inverter technology and is generator friendly. This welder has PFC (Power Factor Correction) so it is suitable for use where voltage supply is low or on extension leads. A sealed circuit protects this welder against moisture, salt spray and corrosion making it suitable for use on the farm, site, marina and offshore. This welder has a high duty cycle - 30% at 160A at 40°C. The digital display allows for accurate adjustment of the welder's output. This welder includes a range of features such as hot start, where the welder automatically increases the welding current temporarily, to safely ignite and stabilise the arc, an anti-stick feature automatically reduces the welding current when the electrode accidentally gets stuck, this prevents the electrode from annealing and the ARC force control monitors the welding current and voltage and eliminates short circuits quickly and safely. Also equipped with VRD (voltage reduction at idle). This welder is supplied with a 3m electrode holder and earth.

Products that are safe to run on a generator with AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) or on a pure sine wave inverter generator. Typically the generator power will need to be twice the amperage requirement of the welder.
Duty rating is how long you can use a welder at either 20°C or 40°C and at a particular amperage. If no amperage is specified then it is full power. A machine that has 60% at 20°C would be similar to machine rated 30% at 40°C.
