Holzstar Table Saw TKS 254 E w/ Sliding Table
This 3 hp table saw from Holzstar comes complete with a sliding table and rip fence for maximum versatility. It has a maximum cutting depth of 80mm and can be adjusted infinitely between 0mm and 80mm via a handwheel. The saw blade is fitted with a saw blade guard and can be tilted from 90 ° through to 45° via a handwheel and can be set at any angle in between. The saw has a dust extractor connection of Ø 100 mm and the saw blade guard is also fitted with a Ø 30mm suction hose which is connected to the 100mm collar on the rear of the machine. The saw unit is attached to both the front and rear of the saw for stability resulting in high precision cutting. There are also side and rear table extensions for added material support. The saws powerful motor is equipped with thermal overload protection. The saw is made from painted galvanized steel to prevent corrosion and the tabletop and sliding table are both cast iron. Includes 254 x 30 x 3.0mm saw blade.
If the sliding table is listed as optional then it is available at an additional cost.
Yes. there are four very important issues to remember. These tips will help you get long and satisfactory use of your machine. The first is that the table surface of the saw and any sliding carriage or extensions attached must be cleaned and degreased thoroughly before the first operation and then have a protective coat applied to the surface. These surfaces should offer little resistance to the movement of the wood passing over it. This will require regular maintenance and application over the life of the machine. The second is that there must be adequate dust collection at all times and that the blade tilting and raising mechanisms and other areas prone to dust and chip build-up must be blown off regularly. The third issue to be aware of is that during the early operation of your saw any drive belts must be inspected and re-tensioned as required. The final piece of advice we would offer is that using an appropriate sharp blade is more critical than having extra horsepower.
