Silverline Fore Hand Plane No. 6

This carpenters No 6 hand plane, also known as a fore plane has a cast iron body with rosewood handles secured by 2 brass screws. It is suitable for jointing (flattening) table tops and larger pieces of wood where the larger jointer plane might not be suitable. The sides and bottom are milled smooth and true and the depth adjusting screw is brass and the blade is a heavy duty 3mm. The blade width is 50mm, the plane width 60mm and the overall length is 450mm (18").
